Janis & William

Janis and William travelled all the way from New Jersey to renew their vows at Na Hoku Point off the Napili Kai Beach Resort on the West side of Maui. Their daughters, Jenna and Lexi, were there to make it a family affair. John-Pierre was on hand to photograph their special ceremony underneath a beautiful canopy that was transformed into their intimate dinner location at sunset.

Amanda & John

Amanda and John planned their gorgeous wedding and reception dinner to take place at Gannon’s Restaurant on the south side of Maui. They were joined by friends and family who travelled all the way from Canada. Their most important guest being their 5-month-old son, Kohen, who served as their official ring bearer. We loved their maroon color theme, which was beautifully complimented by the surrounding bougainvillea trees on the lower knoll beneath the restaurant. Scott Drexler documented the special details and swept the couple off to the beach to complete their day with sunset photos.

Sarah & Markus

On a lovely morning in Maui, at Po’olenalena Beach, Sarah and Markus wed with close friends and family alongside them. Scott Drexler snapped up the moments as musician, Tim O’Hara, serenaded the guests who watched Sarah make her entrance escorted by her brother. Jackie Cavallo provided her hair and make-up skills to get Sarah into her perfect wedding look. Their 5-year-old son, Ben, served as their ring bearer and eventually made his way into the ocean to play.

Kaitlin & Daniel

Kaitlin and Daniel wed at Ironwood’s beach, also known as Oneloa beach on the West side of Maui. They had a very intimate ceremony with their 1 and a half year old daughter, Josie, as the guest of honor. Jackie Cavallo provided hair and makeup for the already stunning bride and Scott Drexler captured their incredibly sweet family affair.

A Dream Wedding Maui Style at the Wailea Marriott!

Carli and Erik’s beautiful Maui wedding took place at the ocean front Kahoolawe Lawn at the Wailea Beach Marriott Resort & Spa. We met the happy couple about 1-year before their big day when they first started scouting locations. We were so happy when they decided on the Wailea Marriott as it is truly one of the most breathtaking wedding locations on Maui!

The couple was surrounded by 40 of their family and friends as well as Erik’s 8 year old daughter, Natalie. The couple wanted to do something special to incorporate Natalie into their wedding ceremony so they had Minister Bob McCollor ask her to come forward as they said a few words and presented her with the beautiful pearl necklace seen in the images below. They also included her into their special butterfly release after the ceremony, it was a very sweet touch!

After all of the butterflies were released, one butterfly stayed on Carli’s bouquet for the rest of the night! For all of the pictures, through sunset and even through their reception. Carli’s mom had passed away and she felt so strongly that it was her mom’s spirit with her on her most special day.

It was such a beautiful night and we feel so lucky to have been chosen by Carli and Eric to coordinate their dream wedding! We know they will enjoy a lifetime of love and happiness together, congratulations from A Dream Wedding Maui Style!

Nicki & Darren's Maui Vow Renewal ~ Ulua Beach

Nicki & Darren traveled all the way from New South Wales, Australia for their vow renewal on the beautiful Ulua Beach in Wailea. Tracy Flanagan of A Dream Wedding Maui Style handled all of the details of their beautiful day.

Their ceremony was officiated by Pastor Paul Tangonan and photography was provided by Cassie Pali of Creative Island Visions. The couple’s daughter was incorporated into their vow renewal by acting as a witness and helping with a beautiful butterfly release after their ceremony.

The happy family continued to enjoy the beautiful celebration on the beach until the sun set and they were off to dinner to celebrate.

We are always honored to be able to take part in such special memories and this ceremony was no exception. It was a lovely night and we wish the family all of the happiness in the world! Congratulations from A Dream Wedding Maui Style!

A Dream Vow Renewal at Ironwoods Beach

Marni and Chad traveled to beautiful Ironwoods Beach in Kapalua to celebrate their 10-year Anniversary and Vow Renewal! All of  their Vow Renewal coordination was provided by Tracy Flanagan of A Dream Wedding Maui Style.

The couple arrived to the beach separately, giving the bride & the couple’s daughters some time for some beautiful shots together before the ceremony.

Their touching ceremony was officiated by Bob McCollor and photography was provided by Mike Sidney Photography.

The couple chose to incorporate their two daughters into the ceremony by providing a lei to each one, this is a great way to make children feel special and united as an Ohana with their parents!

After the ceremony the couple and their family headed off to dinner to celebrate 10 years of marriage. Congratulations to Marni and Chad from A Dream Wedding Maui Style!

Private Haiku Estate – A Dream Wedding Maui Style

On December 19, 2010 Tracy Flanagan of A Dream Wedding Maui Style coordinated a beautiful wedding at a private estate in Haiku, Maui for Janine & Chance. Here are a few of the florals that were provided for the couple’s flower girls (and Mick Fleetwood’s daughters). The arrangement on the right is a cute idea for a little girl; it’s a flower wand!

In the picture below you might recognize world famous drummer, Mick Fleetwood! He was on hand to play his drums for the special couple as well as all of the lucky guests, what a treat!

Incorporating Children into a Destination Wedding – A Dream Wedding Maui Style

Here in Hawaii we have the tradition of presenting leis with Aloha. If you are thinking about including your children into your ceremony, we will have the minister perform a lei exchange for the bride & groom and then have them present a lei to the children. This represents uniting the children and parents together as an ‘Ohana’ or family.

Sometimes, the couple will have a special bracelet, ring or necklace to give the child in place of a lei. The lei or gift becomes a symbol of family unity and in recognition of the hope and joy made visible through the marriage.
